Eligibility

Undergraduate Programs (B.Des):

  • Age Limit: General category candidates must be born on or after July 1, 2002. A relaxation of three years in the upper age limit is given to candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories.

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed or will be appearing for their 10+2 or equivalent examination from any recognized board in India or abroad.

Postgraduate Programs (M.Des):

  • Age Limit: General category candidates must be born on or after July 1, 1992. A relaxation of three years in the upper age limit is given to candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories.

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution in India or abroad.

It is essential to note that NID conducts its entrance exam (Design Aptitude Test) for shortlisting candidates for admission. The exam assesses a candidate’s aptitude, creativity, problem-solving, visual perception, and communication skills.
